About This Site
The site was created and is maintained by Alan Germani Web Solutions with the aim of providing efficient, glitch-free browsing for visitors with fairly up-to-date software and equipment. Site features include:
- Print Friendliness: All pages are designed to print without extraneous graphics and layout elements; this reduces ink and paper consumption. All pages are designed to generate text in a highly readable format appropriate to print.
- CSS Layout: The site uses Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to reduce code, minimize download times, and simplify future updates, redesigns, and other changes.
- Script-less Rollover: We’ve incorporated a navigation that uses CSS to generate the rollover effect on individual links; this is advantageous for visitors with up-to-date software regardless of whether they have scripting enabled in their browsers.
- Accessibility: The site is designed to be reasonably accessible for disabled visitors with alternative internet browsers.
- W3C Compliant: The site is coded in valid XHTML in conformance with recommended web standards for browser interoperability.
-
Forward Compatibility: Looking more to the future than to the past, we’ve designed the site to easily adapt to changes in Internet technology.
If you have older software or equipment, you may have some difficulty browsing the site, and its layout may appear skewed; however, we have provided an alternative means of navigation through our site map, and all content should nevertheless be readable. In most cases, a free upgrade of your web browser will enhance your browsing here and at other sites. We suggest:
- Mozilla Firefox: An excellent browser which has become increasingly popular in the short time since its initial release, due partly to its highly accurate code interpretation. Available for Windows and Mac OSX.
- Internet Explorer: For those using Windows, Internet Explorer is an integral part of the system. We recommend that you keep your version of Internet Explorer up-to-date even if it is not your preferred web browser.
Few good browsing options exist for people using Mac’s with anything below OSX, but we’ve tried to make the content of our site readable to those with such systems. Please use our site map if you have difficulty with our navigation bar.
